Type "WC" Chilled or Hot Water Coils:

Primary Tube Surface

Round seamless copper tubes mechanically expanded into fin collars of the secondary surface. Mechanical expansion provides a permanent metal-to-metal bond for efficient heat transfer. Temtrol uses staggered tubes in direction of air flow and only return bends - reduced tube wall hairpin bends are not used. Rows 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 and 12 are available.

  Standard 5/8" O.D. x .020" wall thickness
      Optional .025, .035, and .049" wall thickness
      Tube face centerlines are 1.5" with 1.299" between rows.

Headers

Seamless copper with die-formed holes to provide a parallel surface to the coil tube for strong brazing joints. Standard 1/8" brass female pipe thread (FPT) vents and drains with optional 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2" sizes. All circuiting is designed to gravity-drain.

Connections

Standard Red Brass Schedule 40 male pipe thread (MPT) with optional copper female pipe thread (FPT).

Casing

Minimum 16 ga. G-90 galvanized steel with 1-1/2" die-formed flanges to permit easy stacking and mounting. Intermediate tube supports are supplied on coils over 44" fin length with additional supports every 42" multiple thereafter. Optional stainless, aluminum and copper materials are available.

Testing and Performance

All coil assemblies are leak tested under water at 315 PSIG. Standard construction is suitable for 250 PSIG operating pressure up to 300° F. PERFORMANCE is CERTIFIED under ARI Standard 410. All coil performance ratings are generated with Temtrol's ARI certified selection software.


Type "DX" Direct Expansion Coils:

Copper O.D. sweat with interchangeable nozzle type refrigerant distributors. Standard coil has one distributor for one compressor circuit. An INTERTWINED coil has two distributors that provide full face control using two compressor circuits. A FACE SPLIT coil has two or more distributors for multiple compressor circuits.

Type "N" Steam Distributing Coils:

Primary Tube Surface

Round seamless copper tubes mechanically expanded into fin collars of the secondary surface. Mechanical expansion provides a permanent metal-to-metal bond for efficient heat transfer. The 5/8" O.D. inner steam distributing tubes are centered in the 1-1/8" O.D. outer condensing tube. The inner tube has proportionally spaced, directional steam jet orifices to direct condensate flow.
