Quality Control:

Temtrol has attracted a highly skilled and dedicated work force which consistently manufactures quality products. From start to finish, each air handling unit is subject to numerous quality control inspections - each employee is empowered to stop production whenever parts, components or assemblies do not meet our manufacturing and design specifications. Each of Temtrol's employees must successfully go through an apprenticeship program. During this process they work beside our team leaders and experienced employees learning the necessary skills and expected levels of quality their workmanship must reach.

Coil Leak Testing

Every coil manufactured is leak tested under water at 315 PSIG before crating, shipping or installing into a Temtrol air handler.

Frequent Inspections

Again, all products manufactured (air handlers, coils, fan coil units, etc.) are subjected to inspections by the employee performing the particular task. Before products move into the next phase of production, they must pass our quality inspections. These inspections, among other requirements, compare all construction against approved Temtrol drawings and submittal documents.

For instance, we inspect unit frames for secure welds and rust proofing. Dampers are rotated manually after installation to ensure smooth operation and proper shutoff. Fan assemblies are IRD-balanced at design RPM to .157 in/sec. All factory-furnished electrical components are checked for continuity and proper operation. Finally, the completed unit thoroughly cleaned and prepared for shipment.
